Patient Services Manager – Hospital Group (Vosloorus)

About the role

The Patient Services Manager will lead the revenue cycle management function for a hospital group, ensuring accurate billing, efficient processes, and financial targets are met. This onsite role oversees a multidisciplinary team and drives continuous improvement through technology and data analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the hospital’s revenue cycle operating plan and meet collection targets.
• Inspect team output to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Research, propose, and implement technology‑enabled process improvements.
• Develop, align, and enforce end‑to‑end standard operating procedures.
• Oversee Reception, Admissions, Case Management, and Billing Auditing departments.
• Monitor work‑in‑progress and keep rejection rates within acceptable thresholds.
• Conduct daily end‑of‑case reconciliations and ensure timely billing per funder standards.
• Maintain accurate coding protocols, length‑of‑stay registers, and funder updates.
• Review services on SAP to optimise billing and analyse trends in rejections and short payments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with anatomy and physiology coursework.
• Current SANC registration.
• 3‑5 years of experience in private‑healthcare revenue cycle or billing management.
• Proficiency in ICD‑10 and CPT coding.
• Computer literacy and ability to work with healthcare information systems.
• Advanced certification in CPD and ICD coding is an advantage.
