Parts Trainee – Global Grade 06

About the role

The Parts Trainee (Global Grade 06) will support parts sales operations, ensuring timely and accurate order processing while delivering high-quality customer service across construction, rental and used equipment sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve parts sales KPIs, including on-time-in-full (OTIF) order delivery.
• Capture accurate customer details when opening new accounts and create quotations promptly.
• Interpret customer parts requirements, propose availability options and promote complementary products.
• Manage open sales orders, update customers on order status, and ensure correct order information.
• Determine parts availability from JDC and overseas supply chains, log CID tickets and follow up on back-orders.
• Perform outbound picking, inbound receiving, weekly cycle counts and operate a forklift where required.

Required profile

• Grade 12/Matric qualification.
• Valid Code B driver’s licence.
• Basic business and financial acumen with strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail, resilience and ability to sell value-added options to customers.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (advanced).
• SAP SD/MM.
• Forklift operation (license or ability to obtain).
