Part-Time Techxpert Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Technician to join Pepkor Lifestyle on a part‑time basis. The role focuses on maintaining and improving our technical systems, ensuring hardware and software operate efficiently across our retail network.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, diagnose and repair IT hardware components.
• Install, configure and update software applications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide first‑line support to staff.
• Support internal and external networking systems where required.
• Document procedures and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Contribute to productivity improvements and system efficiency.

Required profile

• Matric certificate.
• COMPTIA A+ certification (Essentials and Core).
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage stress and resolve conflicts.
• Target‑driven, self‑managed with high integrity and attention to detail.
• Customer‑centric mindset and personal resilience.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of IT hardware repair.
• Experience with software installations.
• Networking systems knowledge (advantageous).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
