About the role
The Department of Architecture at Durban University of Technology seeks part‑time Design/Construction Studio Mentors to support undergraduate modules in the second semester of 2026. The role involves on‑campus engagement, student monitoring and assessment in collaboration with module lecturers and year coordinators.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver approximately six hours per week of face‑to‑face studio instruction and guidance on campus.
- Engage with, monitor and assess student academic performance, working closely with module lecturers and year coordinators.
Required profile
- Brief CV with cover letter and motivation.
- Relevant Master’s degree (M.Arch.) or certified proof of completion.
- Certified copy of identity document.
- Minimum two years of professional architectural practice.
- Portfolio of own architectural work (max 10 MB).
- Preferably professional registration, five years’ practice, and prior tertiary teaching experience.
What we offer
- Remuneration of R6000 per month, in line with DUT part‑time appointment policy.
