Part-Time Chartered Accountant (CA(SA))

About the role

Our client is looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) to manage the accounting and financial administration of a group of eight companies. The position is part‑time, offering flexibility for professionals seeking a balanced workload, with most tasks performed remotely and occasional meetings at the V&A Waterfront office.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier and business payments
• Prepare monthly management reports
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Prepare VAT and other tax submissions
• Assist with year‑end financial statements and external audits
• Complete KYC and regulatory compliance documentation
• Maintain accurate financial records across eight entities
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors and service providers
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Support general financial administration and process improvements

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) – essential
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of South African tax and accounting principles
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Based in Cape Town and able to attend occasional in‑person meetings

Required skills

• Advanced Excel
• Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
