Pallet Controller – 2-Month Fixed-Term Role

About the role

The Pallet Controller will manage the end‑to‑end process of CHEP pallet recovery for McCain Foods Limited on a two‑month fixed‑term basis. You will ensure accurate tracking, reconciliation and reporting of inbound and outbound pallets while minimizing financial impact.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and reconcile inbound and outbound CHEP pallets daily.
• Maintain hard‑copy and electronic CHEP documentation for audit purposes.
• Resolve pallet‑related queries with customers, transporters and internal teams.
• Coordinate weekly and monthly pallet counts and reconcile physical pallets to system records.
• Manage CHEP invoice reconciliation, dispute resolution and credit processing.
• Interact with transport partners and customers to recover pallets from previous deliveries.
• Develop and implement process improvements to reduce pallet losses and associated costs.
• Provide regular reports on pallet status, recovery plans and trend analysis.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Effective problem‑solving abilities and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience in logistics, pallet management or related supply‑chain functions.
• Good communication skills for liaising with customers and internal stakeholders.
