Overhead Crane Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Overhead Crane Technician to provide hands‑on service across the greater Durban area, primarily between Hammarsdale and the Durban airport. The role is field‑based, supporting client sites throughout KwaZulu‑Natal.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair overhead cranes and related equipment at customer locations.
• Respond to breakdowns, conduct fault‑finding and carry out repairs on‑site.
• Travel between multiple client sites during the working day, initially reporting to the Drummond workshop for training.
• Utilise a company vehicle for work‑related travel and ensure safe completion of tasks.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience working with overhead cranes.
• Proven ability in mechanical and/or electrical fault‑finding.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to work independently.
• Reliability, practicality and a strong safety focus.
