Outbound Agent X45 – Funeral Assurance Sales

About the role

Icebolethu Group, an authorised financial service provider and funeral assurance group, is looking for an outbound agent at its Durban call centre. The agent brings in new business by cold calling and selling Icebolethu funeral assurance products. Pay is by commission.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell funeral assurance policies to new and existing clients.
• Call clients proactively to restructure, retain or resell existing policies.
• Deliver excellent customer service and handle client queries and complaints within agreed service levels.
• Execute customer retention strategies and negotiate contract renewals.
• Maintain accurate client records and follow administrative processes.
• Ensure compliance with FAIS and FSCA regulations and meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12; a tertiary qualification and RE1 or RE5 certification are advantageous.
• 1-2 years' experience in sales, customer service or field operations; funeral assurance, insurance or financial services experience preferred.
• Client engagement and compliant handling background beneficial.
• Clear credit and criminal record.

Required skills

• Proven sales ability, including cross-selling and upselling.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• At least three official languages spoken in the relevant province.
