Operations Specialist – Cape Town

About the role

The Operations Specialist will support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations for a boutique luxury travel company in Cape Town. The role focuses on delivering seamless, high‑touch journeys across Africa while maintaining the brand’s service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and motivate a multidisciplinary team across reservations, operations and chauffeur services, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee daily business operations in the GM’s absence, ensuring efficiency, accuracy and seamless execution while optimizing internal processes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners and suppliers, guaranteeing personalised service and high guest satisfaction.
• Assist the GM in driving operational and commercial performance, identifying growth opportunities and recommending process innovations.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of operations experience in luxury tourism, travel or hospitality.
• Exposure to operational and financial management, with a commercial mindset.
• Proven leadership and people‑management skills, able to guide teams when the GM is unavailable.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Passion for luxury travel, sustainability and creating unforgettable guest experiences.
