Operations Manager

About the role

Our client in the refrigeration industry is seeking an Operations Manager to provide strategic leadership across finance, human resources, IT, legal compliance and facilities. The role reports directly to the CEO and will drive efficiency, risk management and organisational growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee HR, IT, legal, compliance and facilities functions to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.
• Design and implement scalable operational processes, internal controls and cost‑optimisation initiatives.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, month‑end/quarter‑end/year‑end close and cash‑flow management.
• Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory and statutory requirements and act as liaison for auditors and regulators.
• Provide strategic advice to the CEO and executive team, presenting financial performance and scenario analysis.
• Manage departmental heads, set KPIs, conduct performance reviews and ensure adequate resourcing.
• Develop business continuity, risk mitigation plans and maintain governance policies.

Required profile

• Matriculation with a relevant tertiary qualification (B.Com Accounting, B.Acc, Business Administration or MBA preferred).
• 3‑5 years of experience in operations, finance or related functional leadership.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive organisational efficiency.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
