Operations Controller

About the role

The Operations Controller will ensure AB InBev safety standards are applied while managing inventory and warehousing functions at the SAB Upington Depot. The role focuses on optimizing customer service levels, meeting productivity benchmarks and implementing standard operating processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain 5S compliance and enforce global warehouse policies.
• Design and monitor SOPs, KPIs, and performance indicators for all warehouse activities.
• Conduct daily inventory counts, investigate variances and manage product write‑offs in line with legal and environmental rules.
• Track loading and unloading productivity, schedule loads and verify departures.
• Ensure safety and quality compliance, including cleanliness, pest control, temperature control and cross‑contamination prevention.
• Develop labor and equipment sizing models, allocate resources and drive waste‑reduction initiatives.

Required profile

• 3‑year relevant diploma or degree.
• Minimum 3 years of warehouse or logistics experience.
• Proficient in SAP and advanced computer use (MS Office, Oasis, handheld devices).
• Strong planning, problem‑solving and coaching abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.
