About the role
We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Operations Assistant to support our Operations team and work directly with the Head of Operations. The role offers hands‑on experience with the behind‑the‑scenes activities that keep a fast‑growing business running, while interacting with clients from startups to investment funds in the tech and blockchain space.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate full onboarding processes, maintain employee records, track probation periods and manage leave administration in line with POPIA and BCEA requirements.
- Support recruitment activities by screening applications, scheduling interviews, liaising with candidates and updating the applicant tracking pipeline.
- Maintain asset registers, handle insurance‑related administration, manage shared inboxes, calendars and document version control.
- Provide day‑to‑day assistance to the Head of Operations, track action items, update SOPs and operational templates, and coordinate logistics for internal events and client onboarding.
- Assist with vendor and supplier administration, including invoice tracking and contact list maintenance.
Required profile
- Proactive, organised and comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast‑moving environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage several administrative and HR processes simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal teams, candidates and external partners.
