About the role
The Operational Emergency Care Practitioner will deliver excellent critical care within the ER24 operational environment in the Western Cape. The role requires sound clinical judgment, adherence to current evidence, and the ability to provide clinical leadership. It is a permanent, on‑site position based in Milnerton, Cape Town.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure operational readiness for emergency calls.
- Administer patient care in line with the scope of practice.
- Market and maintain a positive public image for ER24.
- Provide basic shift administration services.
Required profile
- Essential education: BTech Emergency Medical Care or Bachelor Emergency Medical Care.
- Essential experience: Newly qualified Emergency Care Practitioner (ECP) or operational EMS experience.
- Desired education: Completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
- Desired experience: Previous EMS operational experience.
