On‑Site Technician

About the role

Solar MD is seeking a safety‑first On‑Site Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical solutions for its global energy‑storage projects. You will work directly with the Head of Technical Support to ensure installations meet the highest industry standards and contribute to a greener future.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control panels, switches, and circuit breakers according to design specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics to ensure precise execution.
• Conduct routine inspections, diagnose electrical faults, and perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with project teams to keep installations on schedule and adapt to various job sites.
• Strictly follow workplace safety protocols and electrical regulations to maintain a zero‑incident environment.

Required profile

• Valid Trade Test Certification as an electrician (mandatory).
• Hands‑on experience as a Trade Tested Electrician, preferably with power systems, control panels, or renewable‑energy installations.
• Deep knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Strong troubleshooting ability, high attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
• Valid driver’s licence is advantageous for travelling between sites.
