Online Writing Tutor

About the role

LatinHire is seeking English writing experts to join its team of online writing tutors. As a Writing Tutor you will review and provide feedback on essays submitted by students ranging from high‑school to PhD level, helping them improve their writing skills.

Key responsibilities

• Provide detailed feedback on student essays across academic levels, from high school to PhD.
• Assess and comment on essay structure, argument development, use of evidence, and adherence to citation styles.
• Identify and correct issues in grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and overall writing mechanics.
• Guide students on topic sentences, transitions, literary devices, vocabulary, and appropriate writing styles.

Required profile

• Completed a degree program at an accredited higher‑education institution; bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
• Strong command of English essay writing, including creative, descriptive, expository, and persuasive formats.
• Familiarity with APA and MLA citation and documentation standards.
