O&M Procurement Officer – South Africa

About the role

The O&M Procurement Officer will support ENGIE South Africa’s operational entities by delivering procurement solutions across a portfolio of assets and service categories. Working closely with the O&M Procurement Manager, the role ensures that sourcing activities align with the company’s short‑ and medium‑term strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Implement approved procurement strategies in collaboration with business departments and key stakeholders.
• Consolidate procurement requirements across operational entities and engage the supplier market.
• Manage end‑to‑end sourcing activities, including market analysis, tender preparation, supplier evaluation, negotiation and contract award.
• Identify and leverage synergies to optimise costs, improve efficiencies and standardise sourcing practices.
• Provide procurement support during construction and commissioning phases of power plants as needed.
• Coordinate procurement actions in line with Category Management principles and governance requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, preferably within the energy or O&M sector.
• Strong analytical and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple operational entities and external suppliers.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
