Office-Based Commercial Account Manager

About the role

The Office-Based Commercial Account Manager will support the Commercial Fuels business plan by coordinating commercial activities, analysing performance, and ensuring contract and tender processes run smoothly. This role works closely with the Commercial Manager and Business Sales Manager to drive profitability and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation of commercial objectives and coordinate cross‑departmental initiatives.
• Monitor sales performance, margins, and profitability; prepare weekly and monthly performance reports.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.
• Coordinate tender processes from opportunity identification to submission, including RFQs and RFPs.
• Maintain contract renewals, governance, and compliance monitoring.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities and support customer acquisition strategies.
• Process client orders, ensure smooth delivery, and manage SAP ARIBA invoicing for mining customers.
• Maintain data integrity across systems, support audits, and keep pricing, customer, and contract master data up to date.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and provide insights for strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in commercial fuels, lubricants, petroleum, B2B sales, wholesale or commercial operations.
• Proven experience managing key customer accounts.
• Strong background in commercial coordination and relationship management.
• Ability to analyse data, identify risks and opportunities, and support decision‑making.
