Office Based Commercial Account Manager

About the role

The Office Based Commercial Account Manager will support the Commercial Fuels strategy by coordinating commercial activities, analysing performance, and ensuring efficient execution of business objectives. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role provides operational support across pricing, contract administration, tender processes and customer order management.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Business Sales Manager and Commercial Managers in implementing the Commercial Fuels business plan and key initiatives.
• Monitor sales performance, margins and profitability; prepare weekly and monthly performance reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning activities.
• Coordinate tender processes from opportunity identification through submission, including RFQs and RFPs.
• Maintain contract renewals, governance and compliance monitoring.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities and support customer acquisition strategies.
• Process client orders, ensure smooth delivery, and manage SAP ARIBA invoicing for mining customers.
• Maintain data integrity across systems, support audits and keep pricing, customer and contract master data up‑to‑date.
• Track market trends, competitor activity and provide insights for strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in commercial fuels, lubricants, petroleum, B2B sales or wholesale operations.
• Proven track record in managing key customer accounts and coordinating commercial activities.
• Strong analytical abilities with experience in performance monitoring and reporting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
