Office Automation Sales Executive

About the role

Our client, a leading player in the office automation sector, is looking for a driven and personable Sales Executive to grow their footprint across JHB. This dual‑focus role splits time between managing an existing client portfolio and actively hunting new business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow an allocated portfolio of office automation accounts, maintaining strong client relationships and driving retention.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals and site visits.
• Conduct client needs assessments and recommend suitable office automation product and service solutions.
• Prepare and present accurate quotations and proposals, and follow up through to close.
• Negotiate contract terms and pricing in line with company guidelines.
• Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly new business and account revenue targets.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform territory and account planning.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, sales reporting and account documentation.
• Coordinate with internal service, technical and support teams to ensure client satisfaction and service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven sales experience within the office automation industry (photocopiers, printers, MFPs, document or technology solutions).
• Track record in both new business development and account management.
• Own reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s licence for regular travel across the Sandton territory.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Target‑driven, self‑motivated and comfortable working toward commission‑linked incentives.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience using CRM and quotation systems.
