Nursing Services Manager (Kathu)

About the role

The Nursing Services Manager will lead a team of registered nurses to deliver safe, cost‑effective, high‑quality patient care in line with hospital standards and policies. This full‑time position is based in Gauteng and requires hands‑on leadership, roster management and clinical oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care for assigned patients or groups, ensuring adherence to the Scope of Practice.
• Lead the nursing staff, enforce roster compliance and support staff with clinical procedures such as intubation.
• Attend shift handovers, communicate care plans to patients and promote health and wellbeing.
• Audit health records for compliance and manage stock levels, charging and crediting appropriately.
• Maintain and implement health practice standards in line with accredited bodies and legislation.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years nursing management experience.
• Registered with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse.
• Relevant nursing qualification; post‑graduate qualification in Nursing Management is preferred.
• Computer literate and flexible to work varied shifts.
• Ability to uphold health practice standards and relevant legislation.
• BLS/ALS certification is an advantage.
