Nursing Services Manager

About the role

The Nursing Services Manager will lead a team of registered nurses to deliver safe, cost‑effective, high‑quality patient care in line with hospital standards and policies. This full‑time position is based in Gauteng and involves both direct patient care oversight and staff coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Provide and supervise patient care according to the professional scope of practice.
• Ensure staff adhere to rosters and assist with clinical procedures such as intubation when needed.
• Attend shift handovers and communicate care plans clearly to patients and team members.
• Promote patient health and wellbeing through education and holistic care.
• Audit health records for compliance and manage inventory of medical supplies.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years experience in nursing management.
• Registered with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse.
• Relevant nursing qualifications; postgraduate qualification in Nursing Management is preferred.
• Computer literate and flexible to work varied shifts.
• Ability to implement and maintain health standards and legislation.

Required skills

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ALS (Advanced Life Support) certification (advantageous).
• Computer literacy.
