Nursing Services Manager

About the role

The Nursing Services Manager will lead the delivery of safe, cost‑effective, high‑quality patient care within a large hospital setting. Reporting to senior clinical leadership, you will ensure compliance with clinical governance, infection control standards and patient satisfaction initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, cost‑effective patient care aligned with the hospital’s clinical governance strategy and evidence‑based practice.
• Evaluate nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes, driving continuous improvement.
• Promote health and wellbeing of patients and staff while ensuring adherence to infection prevention and international standard precautions.
• Implement group quality initiatives and monitor customer satisfaction through CRM, complaint handling, care rounds and clinical audits.
• Guarantee 100 % reporting of incidents and alerts, investigating and reporting all events per hospital policy.

Required profile

• Relevant nursing qualification (B Cur Degree or equivalent) or a management qualification.
• Minimum five years’ experience in a medium to large hospital environment.
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse and compliance with SANC code and health‑care legislation.
• Intermediate level of computer proficiency and advanced computer literacy.
