NOC Agent – Network Operations Center

About the role

The NOC Agent will monitor FACT's tower and network infrastructure on a shift basis, ensuring site availability and compliance with SLA targets. You will be the first line of defence, detecting, diagnosing and escalating faults while coordinating field teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor alarms across Power as a Service (PaaS) and Shelter as a Service (SaaS) including DC power, rectifiers, batteries, generators, HVAC, access control and surveillance.
• Perform first‑line fault diagnosis, attempt remote resolution and escalate to second line when required.
• Log, update and close incidents in the ticketing system with accurate codes, timestamps and resolution notes.
• Dispatch and track field maintenance teams, manage attendance, and confirm site restoration.
• Track SLA/OLA clocks, flag breach risks early and keep stakeholders informed.
• Produce shift handovers, incident and site‑availability reports.
• Support planned maintenance windows, change activities and post‑change verification.
• Manage escalations from MNOs, ISPs and other co‑location customers.

Required profile

• Matric (NQF 4) plus a relevant technical qualification or certification (e.g., N+, A+, CCNA).
• 2–3 years experience in a NOC, service desk or network monitoring environment within telecommunications.
• South African citizen with a valid ID, clear criminal and credit record, and reliable transport for early/late shifts.
