Night Duty Phlebotomy Technician / Staff Nurse (5‑month contract)

About the role

A 5‑month contract opportunity exists for a Night Duty Phlebotomy Technician/Staff Nurse to join the team at our Donald Gordon branch in Johannesburg. We are seeking an individual who displays a proven track record of competence in phlebotomy, high ethics and integrity, and alignment with PathCare values.

Required profile

• Enrolled Nurse Certificate or Phlebotomy Technician qualification registered with SANC/HPCSA
• Current registration with the HPCSA/SANC
• Minimum two years of experience post‑registration
• Fluent in English with an understanding of Afrikaans
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Strong client focus, attention to detail and teamwork orientation

Required skills

• Phlebotomy techniques and order of draw
• Operation of Point‑of‑Care instruments such as Hemocue and Stratus
• Running arterial blood gas analyses on dedicated machines
• Computer literacy, preferably with Skylims
