New Business Partner – Contract Logistics

About the role

Our client, a leading provider of contract logistics and supply chain solutions, is expanding its sales team. The Partner – New Business role focuses on identifying, developing and securing new business within contract logistics, warehousing and dedicated contract solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new business opportunities in contract logistics and warehousing.
• Prospect through cold calling, networking, referrals and market research.
• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline and develop strategic sales plans.
• Conduct client meetings, presentations and solution‑based sales engagements.
• Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, RFQs, RFPs and tender submissions.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial agreements and service contracts.
• Collaborate with Operations, Pricing, Finance and Customer Service to tailor logistics solutions.
• Ensure smooth handover of newly secured clients to operations.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline reporting and sales forecasts.
• Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activity and market opportunities.

Required profile

• Junior: Minimum 2–3 years business development or sales experience, exposure to logistics/transport/warehousing.
• Mid: Minimum 4–6 years business development experience in contract logistics, warehousing or dedicated contract services.
• Senior: Minimum 6+ years senior business development experience with proven success securing large strategic accounts.
• Grade 12 (Matric) required; diploma or qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business, Supply Chain or Logistics advantageous.
