About the role
Tronox Fairbreeze Mine is seeking qualified personnel for a range of mining‑related positions, including Boilermaker, Mechanical Fitter and Electrician roles. The positions are based at the Mtunzini site in KwaZulu‑Natal and involve work in both plant and underground environments.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and maintain plant equipment such as dump trucks, excavators and LHDs.
- Perform welding, fitting and electrical tasks on boiler and mechanical systems.
- Support blasting operations and rock drilling activities.
- Assist with conveyor belt monitoring and stope timber work.
- Provide on‑site health and safety oversight as required.
Required profile
- Previous employment as a miner or proof of MIE certification.
- No criminal record.
- Certified mining certificate with a verifiable reference.
- Grade 12 or N2–N3 qualifications.
- Competent A or B certification.
- Valid driver’s licence with PDp endorsement.
- At least 6 months practical experience in a mining plant or underground setting.
