About the role
The MRP Zone Specialist supports long‑term raw material planning for the Africa zone, ensuring inventory policies are met while managing cash‑flow and service level targets. The role collaborates with procurement, production, finance and inventory teams to optimise material availability and cost.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement and manage the MRP strategy for the AFR zone to optimise raw material planning and procurement.
- Monitor inventory performance against zone and global targets such as DIO, CWC and materials OOR.
- Manage inventory valuation on the balance sheet and implement strategies to reduce holding costs.
- Utilise MRP systems to analyse data, identify trends and support data‑driven decisions.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve material availability, quality or delivery issues.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on supply‑chain metrics for senior leadership.
Required profile
- 3‑year Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field.
- 1‑2 years of planning experience (advantageous).
- Strong numeracy, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills across all organisational levels.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Excel for data analysis.
- Experience using MRP planning software.
