MRM Manager – Mining Resources Management

About the role

The MRM Manager will lead the Geology, Survey, Planning, Rock Engineering and Mine Planning disciplines at Tharisa Minerals. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, the role ensures accurate mineral resource assessments, effective mine planning and optimal utilisation of resources while complying with regulatory and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑develop and oversee the implementation of the mining strategy, aligning it with the Mineral Resources Management (MRM) strategy.
• Maintain and enhance policies, processes and operational procedures to improve service delivery and productivity across the MRM discipline.
• Collaborate with engineering to create long‑term and short‑term mining plans that maximise resource extraction.
• Develop and manage an ore‑reserves risk matrix and lead a risk‑management programme to achieve discipline excellence.
• Coordinate inter‑disciplinary activities, monitor compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards, and report on governance and audit outcomes.
• Maintain secure, comprehensive geological and resource databases to support operational monitoring and reporting.
• Prepare, finalise and own the MRM annual budget, analysing ROI and recommending financial adjustments to support departmental objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing geology, survey, planning, rock engineering and mine‑planning functions within a mining operation.
• Strong understanding of mining strategy development, regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Ability to develop and implement policies, processes and operational procedures.
• Experience preparing and managing departmental budgets and financial performance.
