Motorbike Technician

About the role

A full-time Motorbike Technician position is available in Gqeberha (PE), advertised by an online personnel recruiter. The salary is commensurate with qualification and experience, together with benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled servicing and routine maintenance in line with manufacturer specifications
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
• Inspect thoroughly and identify potential issues before they become major problems
• Use diagnostic equipment and technical information to find faults
• Ensure every motorcycle is roadworthy, safe and mechanically sound before release
• Carry out pre-delivery inspections and quality-control checks
• Fitting and replacing motorcycle components, accessories and related equipment
• Record work done, parts used and further repairs needed, and communicate additional technical requirements found during servicing
• Take responsibility for tools, equipment and workshop assets

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12
• Qualified Motorcycle Technician (QCTO)
• At least 2 years of post-trade experience as a qualified Motorcycle Technician
• Proven hands-on experience servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing motorcycles
• Valid driver's licence

Required skills

• Accurate diagnosis of mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
• Good understanding of motorcycle systems, components and workshop procedures
• Computer literacy
