About the role
Our client, a welfare veterinary clinic in Cape Town, is looking for two Mobile & Kennel Assistants to support mobile clinic operations, ensure animal welfare and engage with underserved communities.
Key responsibilities
- Assist daily operations of mobile clinics and the hospital, including cleaning, crowd control and documentation.
- Handle animals humanely – identification, weighing, feeding, housing and transport between communities and the hospital.
- Monitor post‑treatment animals, report abnormalities and support kennel and theatre duties as needed.
- Educate community members on basic animal health, husbandry and disease prevention.
Required profile
- Strong teamwork, communication and ability to work under pressure.
- Valid South African driver’s licence, matric certificate and previous kennel or veterinary practice experience.
- Willingness to work overtime, extended hours and occasional weekends.
Required skills
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office & Windows).
- Ability to recognise emergencies and follow hygiene protocols.
