Mobile & Fibre Technical Support Agent - Durban

About the role

ShiftMate is recruiting Mobile & Fibre Technical Support Agents for a contact centre in Umhlanga, Durban. You help customers get their devices and connections working again by guiding them through step-by-step troubleshooting. The role is permanent and full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Take inbound calls and chats from customers with connection, device or account problems
• Diagnose the problem and guide the customer through troubleshooting steps
• Log faults accurately and escalate network or hardware issues to the right team
• Explain technical things in simple language
• Meet first-call resolution and quality targets
• Troubleshoot fibre routers, LTE devices, SIM and network settings with customers

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12)
• At least 6 months' experience in a call centre, customer service, help desk or technical support role
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Patient and logical when solving problems

Required skills

• Basic computer and smartphone knowledge
• Enjoys figuring out how things work

• R6 500 basic salary per month, plus performance bonuses and commission
