Mineral Resource Manager

About the role

The Mineral Resource Manager will lead the evaluation and optimisation of mineral resources, ensuring safe and sustainable extraction while supporting strategic project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mineral resource assessments and provide strategic recommendations for optimal extraction.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance mining operations and improve resource utilisation efficiency.
• Lead planning and execution of mineral resource projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with resource extraction to maintain safe and sustainable practices.
• Work closely with geologists, mining engineers and other stakeholders to maximise resource value.
• Prepare accurate and timely reports on mineral resource estimates for informed decision‑making.
• Oversee the Rock Engineering and Environmental departments.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Geology with experience in survey, rock engineering and mine planning.
• Extensive experience in geological orebody modelling and estimation software.
• Minimum 10 years progressive experience in mineral resource evaluation and management within the mining industry.
• Strong knowledge of South African mining regulations and proven project‑management track record.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
