Millwright – Industrial Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Millwright to join a leading South African manufacturer. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining automated production equipment in a high‑volume plant, ensuring reliable operation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and resolve electrical and mechanical faults on production machinery.
• Perform preventative maintenance and support planned shutdowns.
• Analyse root causes, implement reliability improvements and reduce repeat failures.
• Maintain equipment such as motors, gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, VSDs and MCCs.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and PLC schematics.

Required profile

• Millwright Trade Test qualification with at least 3 years post‑test industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a heavy‑manufacturing environment.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
