Mid‑Senior All‑Round Interior Designer – Commercial Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Mid‑Senior Interior Designer to join a high‑end commercial interior design studio in Johannesburg. The role combines strong technical capability with creative excellence, focusing on luxury interiors and bespoke furniture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full design process from concept through detailed documentation and site coordination.
• Create mood boards, 3D models, design concepts and presentation packages.
• Produce detailed technical drawings for joinery, furniture, shopfitting and construction.
• Coordinate with artisans, manufacturers, suppliers and furniture makers throughout the project.
• Attend site visits to verify measurements, monitor progress and ensure design integrity.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of interior design experience, preferably in luxury and bespoke furniture projects.
• Strong portfolio showcasing interior projects and technical documentation.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a design team.
• Creative, detail‑focused and passionate about refined interiors and craftsmanship.
