About the role

A leading architectural firm is seeking a Mid-Weight Design Architect to join its Johannesburg design team. The permanent, full‑time position involves working on large‑scale commercial, retail, hospitality and mixed‑use projects for both local and international markets.

Key responsibilities

Contribute to concept design and design development for large‑scale projects.
Prepare high‑quality design presentations, visual material and architectural layouts.
Collaborate with Design Directors, senior team members, consultants and other stakeholders.
Manage allocated design tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines and quality standards.

Required profile

Recognised qualification in Architecture.
5–8 years of architectural design experience, including concept design and design development.
Experience with retail, hospitality or mixed‑use developments.
Strong creative thinking, commercial awareness and attention to detail.

Required skills

Proficiency in Revit (essential).
Knowledge of SketchUp and AutoCAD (advantageous).
Strong architectural presentation and graphic design abilities.
