Mid-Level Legal Counsel – iGaming & Technology

About the role

We are a market‑leading sportsbook technology provider seeking a proactive Mid‑Level Legal Counsel to join our growing in‑house team. Based in Cape Town with a hybrid work model, you will support a fast‑paced international technology business operating across regulated gaming markets.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including SaaS, partnership and supplier contracts.
• Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice to internal stakeholders.
• Support designated business areas and strategic projects.
• Improve legal processes, templates and workflows.
• Collaborate with international legal and commercial teams.
• Manage external counsel and assist with disputes when required.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments in gaming and technology sectors.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years post‑qualification experience as a solicitor, advocate or equivalent.
• Strong commercial contracts and contract law background.
• Experience in gaming, sportsbook, SaaS or technology sectors is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver solutions‑focused advice.
• Interest in AI and legal innovation is welcomed.
