Merchandiser – Ballito Lifestyle Store

About the role

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a Merchandiser to join the Ballito Lifestyle store. You will ensure that merchandising standards are met while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Restock merchandise to maximise sales and maintain full product range on shelves.
• Store and pack delivered stock correctly and manage FIFO rotation.
• Monitor sell‑by dates, report low or damaged stock and assist with stocktaking.
• Maintain planograms, label pricing accurately and flatten boxes after unpacking.
• Build and maintain merchandising displays and keep the shop floor tidy.
• Assist with loading and off‑loading stock and support back‑shopping.
• Provide friendly, helpful assistance to customers and resolve out‑of‑stock queries.
• Adhere to Dis‑Chem policies, health and safety rules and minimise losses.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• Up to 6 months retail experience (advantageous: at least 1 year).
• Computer literate – proficient with MS Office.
• Willing and able to work retail hours.
• Strong command of English, presentable and trustworthy.
• Physical ability to lift heavy boxes and reliable transport.

Required skills

• MS Office.
• Ability to analyse ZMORE reports for ordering and stock taking.
