Medical Sales Representative – CNS Products (Cape Town South)

About the role

The role involves promoting Central Nervous System (CNS) pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. You will act as the primary point of contact, building relationships and influencing prescription decisions to meet company sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Visit assigned doctors, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to present product information and raise awareness.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve the area budget and increase market share.
• Implement company marketing campaigns, product presentations, educational events and conference participation.
• Provide timely feedback on market trends, competitor activity and customer needs.
• Maintain accurate records of all interactions in the CRM system.
• Participate in a monthly national sales trip to align regional objectives with corporate goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a life‑science or related field (advantageous).
• Proven experience as a Medical Representative or similar role in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a results‑oriented mindset.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s licence, own vehicle and willingness to travel within the territory.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems for tracking visits and activities.
