About the role
We are looking for a friendly and professional Medical Receptionist to join our Cape Town clinic. You will be the first point of contact for patients and play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome visitors and patients in a courteous manner.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, including contacting newly referred clients.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and manage the switchboard.
- Collect payments, issue invoices, and handle claim queries.
- Maintain petty cash for the branch.
- Keep the practice tidy and organized.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing and typing.
Required profile
- Matric and a relevant qualification.
- Previous reception and administrative experience, preferably in a medical setting.
- Good communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
- Professional, presentable, and confident attitude.
Required skills
- Experience with Altron/Elixir Live or HealthOne software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
