Mechatronic Engineer – Hands‑on Role in Industrial Automation

About the role

We are looking for two Mechatronic Engineers to take day‑to‑day technical ownership of IBCO sites, ensuring every installation runs smoothly and daily operations stay accurate. You will work closely with an outsourced development team, understand the full system architecture, and be comfortable both installing hardware on a factory floor and troubleshooting backend issues.

Key responsibilities

• Install and commission industrial hardware (scanners, cameras, sensors, controllers) on‑site.
• Maintain and update the system backend, performing remote fixes when needed.
• Collaborate with the external developer to manage software upgrades.
• Source and order parts from suppliers, ensuring timely availability.
• Contribute to long‑term system advancement, including new technologies and AI tools.
• Grow into broader technical responsibilities such as client visits, product design, and cost estimations.

Required profile

• Qualification or experience in mechatronics, electronics, industrial automation or a related field.
• Early‑career, hands‑on engineer eager to build real‑world experience.
• Strong technical aptitude with structured fault‑finding ability.
• Practical experience or strong aptitude with industrial hardware (scanners, cameras, sensors, controllers).
• Comfortable working with suppliers to source components.
• Willingness to learn coding and work alongside developers.
• Good communication skills and a self‑driven approach.

Required skills

• Industrial hardware installation and commissioning (scanners, cameras, sensors, controllers).
• Backend system maintenance and remote troubleshooting.
• Basic coding knowledge or willingness to develop it.
