Mechanical Engineer – Propulsion

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Mechanical Engineer position is based in the Propulsion department of an aerospace company that designs and tests long‑range UAVs. The role focuses on vibrational analysis of rotating machinery and supports the design, validation, and improvement of propulsion components.

Key responsibilities

• Perform multiphysics structural, thermal, vibration, fatigue, and fracture analyses.
• Create analytical models for systems, sub‑assemblies, and individual parts.
• Collaborate with designers to finalize hardware designs, including rotor dynamics studies.
• Conduct finite element analysis of components to assess performance, safety, and lifetime.
• Develop standard practices and hand‑calculation methods to accelerate hardware development.
• Oversee CAD designs and drawings for propulsion components and support manufacturing and quality assurance.
• Provide integration and testing support for ground and flight test systems, both locally and at client sites.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in thermal, structural, and vibration analysis of rotating machinery.
• Strong understanding of ductile and brittle material failure theories.
• Experience instrumenting hardware with strain gauges and thermocouples.
