Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Join a leading engineering firm as a Mechanical Engineer, contributing to design, installation, maintenance, and optimisation projects across a specialised industrial sector. You will work within a skilled team, collaborating with both local and international engineering standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) using SAP and internal data systems.
• Create and update item codes in line with company standards.
• Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor, adhering to ISO 9001 drawing standards.
• Perform load calculations for mechanical assemblies and prepare certification documentation.
• Review and approve technical drawings prior to manufacturing.
• Engage with clients, internal teams, workshops, and suppliers to deliver practical engineering solutions.
• Conduct site visits, provide technical assessments, and liaise with international engineering counterparts.
• Ensure compliance with HSEQ Management System requirements and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Sc. or B.Eng.).
• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical drafting and design.
• Background in machine building, heavy equipment fabrication or repairs is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
