Mechanical Engineer – Building Services Lead

About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for a professionally registered Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of building services projects within a dynamic engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, coordination, and delivery of mechanical engineering projects.
• Manage project scope, budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
• Oversee the design of HVAC, wet services, and fire protection systems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits and support project implementation and commissioning.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of mechanical building services design and site experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, ventilation, wet services, and fire protection systems.
• Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
• BEng, BSc, or BTech in Mechanical Engineering and registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (PrEng).
