About the role
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our mineral‑separation team in the Eastern Suburbs of Johannesburg. The successful candidate will use Autodesk Inventor to create detailed 3D models and support the manufacturing workshop.
Key responsibilities
- Develop 3D designs using Inventor and ensure they meet industry engineering standards.
- Produce detailed drawings for workshop manufacturing and release them in a timely manner.
- Upgrade legacy products by converting 2D drawings to 3D models and recommending material or process improvements.
- Design new products or new applications for existing products.
- Support the Procurement Department with accurate BOMs and parts lists.
- Assist the workshop with design‑related modifications and material changes.
Required profile
- BEng in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2‑5 years of mechanical design experience.
- Proficiency with Inventor or comparable 3D CAD packages.
Required skills
- Inventor (3D CAD).
