Maven Smart System Instructor (GCCS-J)

About the role

Chitra is looking for an experienced Maven Smart System Instructor to deliver Common Operational Picture (COP) and Maven Smart System (MSS) courses, support JDTC catalog training, and contribute to military exercises.

Key responsibilities

• Teach COP and MSS courses.
• Conduct training in resident classrooms (Fort Eustis, VA), virtual platforms (Teams, VTC, LMS), and Mobile Training Teams at CONUS and OCONUS locations.
• Support up to 15 JDTC catalog courses each year.
• Handle pre‑ and post‑course administrative tasks.
• Participate in military exercises as over‑the‑shoulder trainer, exercise development team member, and control cell personnel.
• Attend and contribute to meetings, conferences, working groups, and curriculum review boards.
• Serve as Course Director when assigned.
• Compile student test data and certify learning objectives.
• Assist with curriculum improvement and distance‑learning courseware development.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Maven Smart System (MSS) operator.
• At least 1 year teaching or supporting operational systems training.
• At least 1 year supporting military exercises.
• Secret security clearance.
• Willingness to travel (≈25‑30% of workload), including CONUS and OCONUS travel; passport required.
