Marketing Intern – 12‑Month Internship

About the role

Old Mutual offers a 12‑month marketing internship in Johannesburg, focused on supporting its Group Social Investments portfolio. The role provides hands‑on experience in marketing, stakeholder engagement and event coordination within a leading financial services organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with campaign and social media support, including scheduling content and reporting performance.
• Support event coordination, handling logistics and practical arrangements.
• Maintain stakeholder databases, coordinate meetings and communications.
• Help produce marketing collateral and support content development.
• Assist procurement processes, invoicing and day‑to‑day administration.
• Track activities and contribute to reporting on campaign progress and portfolio performance.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or holding a degree/diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business Management, Event Management or a related field.
• Demonstrated initiative, accountability, teamwork and a strong interest in marketing and social impact.
• Any prior work, volunteer or leadership experience is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with social media management tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organisational and coordination abilities.
