Marketing and Communications Officer

About the role

Our client, a retirement fund based in Menlyn, Pretoria, is looking for a Marketing and Communications Officer to lead the development and execution of its marketing and communication programmes. The role will enhance member education, strengthen stakeholder relationships and raise the fund’s public profile across digital and traditional channels.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Corporate Affairs Manager in implementing communication strategies and delivering integrated marketing plans.
• Maintain and update digital platforms, ensuring compliance with governance, security and brand standards.
• Manage communication tools and coordinate CRM integration to guarantee secure, accurate member‑data workflows.
• Ensure brand consistency across all marketing collateral, public‑facing documents and visual assets.
• Coordinate member education campaigns and stakeholder engagement events.
• Assist with media relations, preparing press releases and supporting external communication partners.
• Monitor and report on the performance of marketing activities using digital analytics and campaign metrics.
• Provide administrative support for event planning and execution.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of experience in marketing, communications or public relations.
• Strong knowledge of campaign management, digital communication platforms and brand guidelines.
• Understanding of public‑relations, media and internal communication methods.
• Ability to create compelling content and copy.
• Experience coordinating events and evaluating communication data.
