Market Area Manager - Mining

About the role

We are seeking a commercially driven Mechanical Engineer to lead our mining sales across Southern Africa. You will combine technical expertise with business development to grow market share for slurry pump solutions and become the trusted partner for major mining projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional sales strategy for slurry pumps and related mining solutions.
• Identify new business opportunities, lead pump trials and manage tender processes.
• Deliver technical presentations, support system upgrades and provide product training to customers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with mines, EPC contractors and key stakeholders.
• Act as the technical liaison, influencing major mining projects and ensuring customer value.

Required profile

• Mechanical Engineering Diploma or Degree.
• 8‑10 years of experience in pump sales management within the mining sector.
• Deep knowledge of slurry pump applications, EPC projects, tendering and contract management.
• Proven business development and market growth track record.
