Manufacturing & Supply Chain Professional (Mid-Senior)

About the role

Hire Resolve is helping manufacturing and supply chain organisations hire experienced professionals for South Africa-based operations. This mid- to senior-level role suits people with a strong background in manufacturing, production, supply chain, operations, engineering, logistics or quality, offering a pathway toward senior leadership. Successful candidates help optimise production and supply chain processes, improve efficiency, ensure quality and occupational health and safety standards, and support continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and support manufacturing, production and supply chain operations
• Manage production planning, scheduling, inventory control and materials flow
• Optimise workflows, processes and systems to improve efficiency, cost control and service levels
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, procurement, logistics and maintenance teams
• Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with OHS Act requirements, ISO standards and internal quality and safety policies
• Monitor KPIs such as production output, inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, quality and cost performance
• Support supplier performance management and supply chain risk mitigation
• Lead, mentor and support teams, supervisors, planners and engineers
• Identify operational risks and implement corrective and preventative actions
• Contribute to strategic planning, capacity planning and long-term improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management or a related discipline
• 5-10+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics or industrial operations
• Experience in manufacturing/production management, supply chain/planning, procurement/sourcing, logistics/warehousing/distribution, process engineering, or quality engineering/management
• Strong understanding of South African manufacturing and supply chain operations
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments is advantageous
