Mandarin Speaking Call Centre Operator (Customer Service)

About the role

We are seeking a professional, reliable and customer‑focused Mandarin‑Speaking Call Centre Operator to join our team in Woodmead, Johannesburg. The role involves handling inbound and outbound calls in Mandarin and English, providing accurate information and ensuring a high‑quality customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound customer calls in Mandarin and English, following scripts and service standards.
• Identify customer enquiries, provide appropriate assistance, and record all interactions in the system.
• Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the relevant department or supervisor.
• Perform basic translation or interpretation between Mandarin and English when required.
• Maintain accurate communication records and ensure confidentiality of customer and company information.

Required profile

• Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese and English.
• Professional telephone manner with strong listening and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work rotational/shifts and follow established procedures accurately.
• Minimum Diploma / NQF Level 6 or equivalent.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Basic computer literacy and data‑entry skills.
• Experience using CRM or ticketing systems (preferred).
